MOMENT

Documentary Wedding Photographer in Kent, the UK, & beyond

I do what I do because these moments become your memories.

Lovingly documenting weddings in an authentic editorial style. Thoughtfully blending analogue film and digital photography.

Documentary wedding photography for couples who want to stay present, not perform. I work from within the day as it unfolds, creating photographs that feel honest, considered, and true to your wedding.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, I’m Dan

Kent based documentary wedding photographer, Dan Higginson
Black and white photograph of a bearded man adjusting his camera strap.

I photograph weddings by engaging with the day as it unfolds, not from the sidelines. I aim to create photographs that reflect not just how your wedding looked, but how it felt, using compositional skill and presence rather than artificial staging.

Based in Kent, I work across the UK and internationally for couples who care about honest storytelling through photography.

AUTHENTIC,

ELEGANT,

YOU.

PHOTOS WITH FEELING

A documentary wedding photograph of a bride showing off her wedding ring on her husbands chest on their wedding day at golden hour in Hatfield Place in Kent
A wedding guest in a navy blue dress swings a flower girl in a white dress into the air. In the background, the mother of the bride looks surprised or shocked.

I focus on each wedding with care and intention, because how a day feels matters as much as how it looks. I get swept up in every wedding and pride myself on the quality of my compositions and how they reflect real experience.

TRUE

BE YOURSELF. LET THE DAY UNFOLD.

I’m here for people, not poses. I work from within the day as it unfolds, making photographs that feel true now and still true decades from now.

Over 250 weddings photographed since 2019

Over the years, I’ve documented everything from small wedding ceremonies with just a few people present to large Jewish weddings outside Paris and multi-day celebrations. Each wedding is different, but the responsibility is always the same: to photograph it with care, consistency, and a real understanding of how a day like this moves. Working as a full-time wedding photographer means I can give each couple the time, focus, and commitment their wedding deserves.

A THOUGHTFUL BLEND OF DIGITAL & ANALOGUE

I photograph weddings with an eye for emotional truth using both digital and analogue film for couples who value photographs that feel lived-in and true to their experience.
